Pt. Bestindo Solusi Integra (BSi), in partnership with Best Enviro Tech (Asia) Pte Ltd, introduced Canadian agricultural innovations from Best Farming Systems in Indonesia. Their products, BEST Terramend Agricultural (TM Ag) and Active Ingredients 73 (Ai73), focus on soil rejuvenation. In December 2022, BSi implemented a trial with Pak Suki, a farmer in Sukamelang village, West Java, using these products on a portion of his 1.4-hectare paddy field. Pak Suki, who practices monoculture farming with his glutinous rice variety this season, observed improved drought tolerance and pests resistance in the treated plot. During the April 2023 harvest, a side-by-side comparison revealed a 14% yield increase in the treated area. The economic benefit was calculated at 198%, demonstrating the transformative potential of TM Ag and Ai73 in enhancing productivity and profitability for local farmers.
