Summary Report
Lembaga Kemajuan Pertanian Muda (MADA) conducted a field trial in Kedah to evaluate the efficacy of BEST Terramend Cereal Grain (TM CG) in improving paddy cultivation. Ms. Masliza Binti Md Desa, managing a 1.325-hectare paddy field, participated in the trial after her yields dropped significantly in 2023 due to poor soil health, broadleaf weed infestations, and stem borer attacks. By incorporating BEST TM CG into MADA’s cultivation program, she observed several benefits: enhanced seedling survivability, healthier plants requiring 40% less fertiliser, effective pest and disease control, and a 28.41% yield increase over the previous year same season, with production rising to 8,090 kg. The product rejuvenated soil health by promoting beneficial microbes in improving nutrient cycle, soil structure, and biocontrol to boosting crop yield and resilience, leading to higher profits and reduced costs for Ms. Masliza. The trial confirms the efficacy of TM CG in improving paddy yields and farming efficiency in Kedah with MADA paddy programme.
