Summary Report
A field trial of BEST Magic Half (MH50) was conducted at the Trench 2 paddy field, managed by Mr. Moo Keng Yong in Kampung Chui Chak, Perak. MH50 is an environmentally friendly, natural product designed to enhance the efficacy of biocides.
The primary benefits of MH50 include reducing biocide usage by 50% in farming programs, which minimises environmental impact, promotes sustainable agricultural practices, and significantly cuts biocide costs.
In the trial, a standard full-dose of paddy field fungicides and insecticides was compared to a half-dose combined with MH50. The results showed no difference in efficacy between the full-dose pesticide and the half-dose treatment mixed with MH50.
This approach resulted in cost savings of up to 37% for the season, while also improving production by 12.51% compared with the previous year at the same season. This trial’s observation suggested that the quantity reduction of pesticide application lowered the environmental impact, allowing the ecosystem to better support crop growth and yield.
These findings confirm that MH50 effectively doubles the efficacy of pesticides, making it a valuable tool for enhancing sustainable farming practices.
