Report Summary

The Agostinelli family has been using BEST TM Agricultural (TM Ag) on their fruit and nut crops since 2013, after observing significant changes in their zucchini trial. They applied TM Ag to their 5 hectares of macadamia trees. In 2015, they produced 19.5 tonnes of macadamia nut-in-shell (NIS) despite losing an estimated 4 tonnes due to a storm. In 2016, Henry was pleased as their harvest reached 25 tonnes of NIS (5 tonnes per hectare). Productivity continued to improve in 2017 with a harvest of 29 tonnes of NIS (5.8 tonnes per hectare), earning them an industry productivity award. In 2018, despite unpredictable weather, production increased to 32.5 tonnes (6.5 tonnes per hectare).

The Agostinelli family has confirmed that there has been a dramatic change in soil structure since the TM treatment was implemented. The soil has transformed from being ‘lifeless’ to a soft, crumbly structure that holds moisture well, is easy to work with, and is teeming with earthworms. The exceptional health of the plants has maintained strong productivity, even under adverse weather conditions, supported by the healthy soil rejuvenated by TM Agricultural.
